Take Control - The March 2013 TBR Pile Challenge

I have a ton of books on my TBR, so this challenge hosted by Kimba the "Caffeinated Book Reviewer" is the perfect solution to dwindle it down a little.

Here are the rules as posted on the sign up page

Link-up! This is open to everyone. If you do not have a blog then link your Facebook or Goodreads account.
Beginning March 1st, 2013 and ending March 31, 2013 at midnight read books from your TBR pile ALL books must have been published before March 2013.
Post a review to Goodreads, your blog or Facebook then link it to the Rafflecopter for an entry.
Rafflecopter will close on April 2, 2013 at midnight and a winner will be chosen. Open internationally as long as Book Depository or Barnes and Noble ship to you. Prize: New 2013 release. I will do pre-orders as well.
You can use hastag #TakeControl on twitter and share your progress. Share the Take Control Button or this post on your blog, Facebook or twitter to earn an extra entry for each place you share. (Rafflecopter will post March 1st, so be sure and enter them)

*note this challenge can be done in conjunction with any other TBR challenge as long as the book is read between March 1st and 31st.

2013 Reading Challenges

These are the reading challenges I have signed up to do for 2013:

2013 Historical Fiction Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: Historical Tapestry

I love historical fiction (it's my all-time favorite genre to read), so I had to do this challenge again. I am choosing the highest level, but I don't think it is going to be much of a challenge for me.

Ancient History - 25+ books

2013 What Countries Have I Visited Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: Christian Novels

I am doing a no deadline challenge to read one book from each of the countries in the United Nations, so this will fit perfectly with that one. I am choosing...

World Traveler - Visit 30+ countries

2013 Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: The Book Vixen

I did this challenge last year and it really help me to read more. In 2012 I read 182 books and I am hoping to read 200+ in 2013, so I going for the "I'm on fire!" level.

I’m on fire! – Read 16+ more books

2013 Ireland Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: Books and Movies

I was able to read 8 books last year that worked for this challenge, so I am upping my goal for this year.

Ceilidh level: 10+ books

2013 Mount TBR Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: My Reader's Block

I have a ton of books that I have been meaning to read, but I'm not sure how many I will be able to read this year. Since this challenge doesn't allow you to decrease the amount, but does allow you to increase it, I am choosing the first level and hope to increase later.

Level 1: Pike's Peak

2013 Ebook Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: Workaday Reads

I find that I'm reading a lot more book on my ereader, even though I still prefer a physical copy, so I am choosing the fourth level.

Level 4: Memory Stick (50 ebooks)

2013 New Authors Reading Challenge

January 1, 2013- December 31, 2013

Hosted by: Literary Escapism

I did this one last year and was surprised by how many new authors I'd read. I had chosen 15 authors and when I finished I had read 100 new-to-me authors! I don't think I will be able to read that many again, but I'm still going to up the level from last year. This year I will be choosing 50 new-to-me authors.

2013 50 States Reading Challenge
